The short, honest version of who runs DriveMate, how it's funded, and where your data actually lives.
Who built this
DriveMate is built and run by Ádám Bíró, a private individual based in Hungary. There is no company or team behind it: one person maintains the code, the servers, and this page.
How it's funded
DriveMate is free, with no ads and no data sales. If you find it useful, a Ko-fi donation helps cover server and vehicle-data costs. Donating is entirely optional and never unlocks extra features.
Who your data is entrusted to
DriveMate runs on a small set of named infrastructure providers, each handling one job:
- Vercel: hosts and delivers the web app.
- Google Cloud Run: runs the API, in a European region.
- Neon: hosts the PostgreSQL database, in Frankfurt (EU).
- Cloudflare R2: stores uploaded documents and images.
- Resend: delivers account and reminder emails.
- OpenAI: powers document scanning (OCR) and the buyer's assistant, only for the features you explicitly use.
In plain language
Your account, vehicle, and document data lives on infrastructure in the EU. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. You can download everything DriveMate holds about you, or delete your account outright, from your profile at any time.
